FINALLY!! My All Purpose Cleaner!!

I FINALLY had the opportunity to get this made today! It *only* took me 11 tries and it's not perfect, (sorry, I don't know how to edit videos yet and didn't want to bother my son! he he he) but here is the video on how to make your own All Purpose Cleaner and re-usable wipes!!!

(In case the video box doesn't show up: http://www.youtube.com/v/VvEru3cozGU )

As promised, here is the link to Michelle's Blog on how to do the Swish N Swipe to keep your bathroom always company ready! http://michelleshomestead.blogspot.com/2009/01/my-first-video-blog.html What a GREAT video she did!! She shows her morning routine. She's so cheery & you'll love watching her!! Don't you love those animals on her kitchen cupboards!?

For my swish N swipe, I actually wipe down the tank and the lid, everything but the bottom of the toilet (that gets cleaned on bathroom cleaning day or when it needs it).

Ok, here's the reccipe:

All-Purpose Glass, Counter and Bathroom Cleaner:

2 cup rubbing alcohol
1 cup ammonia
1 tsp dish washing liquid (we use Dawn)
10 cups of warm water

Combine ingredients in a large gallon jug. Decant some into a spray bottle. Label the bottle as "All-Purpose" cleaner. Spray mixture on windows, countertops, stoves, mirrors, etc., and wipe away.

(This recipe taken from Christian-Homemaking.com)

Christian-Homemaking.com is an excellent site for safe make your own cleaners, and homemaking tips.

Disclaimer:
You want to make sure you label your containers to say "All Purpose Cleaner" so everyone knows it is a cleaner. :) Also, be careful around kids, it's ammonia and rubbing alcohol!

This cleaner does not streak, and works EXCELLENT!!! It also doubles as a bug killer! Which I LOVE!! Because I do NOT like ANY kind of bug!!!

Oh Dear!!!

Well, that should be Deer! We saw 38 Deer on the side of Interstate 95 travelling from Hilliard, FL to St. George SC on Sunday night!! We saw 6 on that same stretch on Saturday night. I'm sure there were WAY more, but my eyes were closed and dhJerry couldn't drive and spot them as well as I could. :-)

We had 2 Gospel Shows this weekend that took us on the road! 1st one was in Kinston, NC on Saturday night. We left from there & travelled about 1/2 way to our next destination, we stayed in St. George, SC. Sunday night we had a show in Hilliard, FL. Left from there & went back to St. George overnight. Back home Monday. The shows went GREAT!!! Many children came forward to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior!! Praise God!!

I think I have jetlag. Can you get jetlag from a car!? LOL It was a lot of driving for Jerry, but it wore me out! LOL Plus add the fact that I don't sleep in a hotel very well.

Well, time to go shopping, I'm about to get left behind! That's my quick update!
Hope to get to that video tomorrow!!! :-D

Monkey Wrench

I like tools, but not this one!! Monkey Wrenches thrown into my plans are not good for me! LOL

I had my morning all planned out in my head. Light Bulb Maybe that was my first mistake! But I woke up BEFORE 7am with my mind IMMEDIATELY engaged! This does not happen with me! LOL

I had these plans for my video on making your own all purpose cleaner and re-usable cleaning wipes. Ideas were filling my head so I got up & got busy with my morning stuff & finished my routine before my normal starting time! LOL

BUT!!! That crazy monkey threw TWO of his wrenches into my day!!!

Wrench #1: Our water has icky black junk coming out of the faucets. I thought it smelled funny when I washed my hands this morning. Then I went to rinse out the bathtub to get ready to do my hair, and YUCK!! So I checked other faucets & Yep, black junk. Sickened

Well, anyway, I haven't gotten in the shower yet and I am NOT going on camera for the world to see when I haven't gotten myself presentable! Hi-ya!

Wrench #2: My computer is acting up and I need to get my anti-virus running correctly. Smashy

Sooooooo... I may not be able to get that video done until after the weekend. Our weekend is too fullJuggling AND I prefer to make a video when dhJerry is at work during the day.

Hope everyone has a BLESSED weekend!!! And may you not have any monkeys visit you with wrenches! Monkey Wave

I am FINALLY getting this up!!

We had a GREAT time at the park on Sunday! My granddaughters LOVE being there & their favorite thing to do seems to be the baby swings! Look at their smiles on them! LOL

Afterwards, we went to eat at El Dorado & they tried on some of the sombreros. :)

I also plan on making a video on How to make your own All Purpose Cleaner and re-usable cleaning wipes. :)

Right now I am enjoying my blueberry tea, Thanks to Mrs. Klause!!

You could also just follow along online.

Destruction, wait! No! That is CONstruction!! LOL

A few elements on my page may be missing for a bit as I change my layout again! he he he

I got it up, but I ran out of time to upload the side bar stuff. I should be up tomorrow as I am about to leave with dh Jerry for the night. :D

Bread for Dinner?? LOL

That's what we had last night! Well, I DID make a crock pot full of soup, but it hardly go touched. Everyone DEVOURED the "Poofy Bread" LOL I made a fresh loaf for dinner, it was still warm when I served it up. dh Jerry and dgd Haylea are the only ones that finished their bowls of soup. There are only the 2 end pieces left of the bread. Guess they liked it huh? ;)

After that you can create a post with your selections of five bloggers and that is all there is to it.

So here are my five award winners:

It is really hard to choose only 5!!! I had to leave lots of peeps out, sorry!

Sorry for the Multitude of Posts Yesterday!!!

I had to upload my previous posts from Wordpress as separate entries because it wouldn't let me import from there. :( Anyway, I'm done with all these old ones!

Just a few more tweaks and My new look will be complete!!

Thanks for your patience!!!

Poofy Bread!!!

In this Post I wrote about the bread that always turns out. I made it Friday and this is how it turned out:

So Poofy it bakes to the top of the bread machine! That's why it has ickies on the top. I did clean it after it cooled so next time it won't get ickie. Plus I can decrease the last rise time since my Zoji has programmable settings. :) My hubby buys me the BEST stuff!! :)

See, all clean!! Except the spots that part of the finish is gone :(

See: I CAN make successful bread!!! And here's the link to the Recipe:
2 Stage Process for the Zojirushi Machine
This soaks the flour overnight so it's compatible with the Nourishing Traditions way of life. :)

I'm Back at Blogger!

Hello! I decided to move back to here due to my videos and Java Script not working at Word Press. So I am in the process of re-posting my blog entries since I can't do a mass import from there to here. :) Be patient! I think I'll only import January and February. Then maybe gradually move them all when I get time. :D

UPDATE: I have archived them as a link for each month to my old blog. :)

Another Sourdough Flop! LOL

Yesterday I let my starter sit all day to warm up & rise up, but it never really did anything. I went ahead and made the dough to let it rise overnight. I kinda figured it wouldn't rise up. I was right. I even added a little dough enhancer and let the bread pans sit on a heating pad (on low) all night. They didn't poof at all!!! So, silly me decides to put them in the oven anyway. They are done. but they are flat. I'm done messing with sourdough for a while. I threw away the starter and will maybe try again in the summer, not sure. LOL I saved a bit of the starter when it was very active the first time I used it, so i have some of the stuff I bought online. :) My husband suggested it. He's so smart! :)

Picture of my flop:

I cut into one to see if it was baked thoroughly. It's kind of doughy still, just like my previous ones. :(

Don't worry, I didn't put the bread on a cutting board that had meat on it. :) I don't eat meat and wouldn't cut it on a wooden one anyway. :)

Soooooo..... I have this AWESOME recipe for a HUGE PUFFY loaf that has turned out EVERY TIME I made it & it is for my Zojirushi Auto Bread Bakery. I have the flour soaking in the water and vinegar right now. I will finish the loaf in the morning when it has finished soaking. I almost can't wait! he he

Plans for today:
Get Ministry orders filled and mailed out.
Get the rest of the Ministry CD recorded that I started yesterday.
Business phone calls
Vacuum the Living Room
Spaghetti for dinner (sauce is already in the slow cooker! YUM)
Spend time with my family! (Monday & Thursday ddCathy & her family come over for dinner) :)

Here is what they look like with the Pate on them:
Crackers with Pate

They are DELICIOUS!!! They are Nutritious!!!!! VERY loaded with Omega 3, 6, & 9!! Not to mention FIBER! LOL

I have never liked cooking in my life! Maybe because I had to do it a LOT growing up while my mom was at work & I would have to come home from school to an empty house, and start dinner for my family. Anyway, lately I have been excited to be in the kitchen making these fun new recipes!! It started on the last day of our 21 day fast. I was watching a DVD "Raw Food Made Easy" and I kept getting excited about every recipe she was making!! Then I started making stuff the next day & I keep making more! LOL Right now I have sourdough starter going, and I will get the bread mixed up to soak and rise overnight & it will be ready to put in the oven in the morning. Whole Wheat Sourdough bread with totally natural leaven, how cool!!!! I'm even going to make some cinnamon rolls with a portion of the bread dough! (Got that from another video!) ... Jerry said he's glad I'm so excited about cooking! LOL Told you I have never liked cooking!

So, here's the video recipe for the Flax Crackers:

**Disclaimer** I do not endorse the people I linked to on this post, or embrace their spiritual beliefs. I am simply sharing info that is beneficial to your physical health. Spiritually, I cannot endorse a LOT of Raw Foodists, as many are too New Age for me! I can glean from their nutritional knowledge and leave the rest "on the table" so to speak. I am still searching for some good solid CHRISTIAN Raw Foodists so I can share links that aren't new agey or other religions! I thought I should share the sources so I don't get in trouble with the authors :) ... Just wanted to add that! :D

Testing New Application!

I saw this cool add-on for Mozilla Firefox called ScribeFire & installed it.  I am posting this entry through it.  What it does is allow you to post to your blogs from 1 screen.  Which is pretty cool if you have more than 1 blog.  :)  It's a Blog Editor.    Sooooo, this is a test! LOL

This N That

I have been lost in the world of You Tube today! LOL I'm looking some stuff up for sourdough bread and stuff. Plus, I had my grandbabies & my daughter over today. She brought some pizza and Texas Toast for lunch. :) Thanks Cat! :)

So anyway, I am planning some You Tube videos of my own. :D Other bloggers are doing some cool demo's and we were invited by Candy to join in. Read about it here: Candy's Blog

We are supposed to get some snow tonight, in fact, it has already started in some places in Raleigh, just not here yet. So, I am going to HOPEFULLY get the chance to make some of that snow ice cream I posted about yesterday!!

Super Bowl Sunday

This is the first time in a while that we (EDIT: At least *I* am not watching, Jerry is watching on his computer) are not watching the Super Bowl game! Not a problem, we mostly only ate junkfood and laughed at the commercials! LOL The commercials haven't been as good the last few anyway. :)

So what did we do today?? Walked over 5 miles!!! We had our Excursion in the shop for a tuneup and got the tires rotated and 2 tires repaired since they had nails in them, got the oil changed too. We only have 1 vehicle and it is a several hour job with 10, yes TEN spark plugs! LOL So we walked over to Golden Corral to eat, then back to the shop to check the progress, then walked home. Then we walked back to pick up the "tank", it was over 5 miles all together. It felt good to drive back home! So I guess I'm good for exercise for the week! LOL

Day 1 of my Chronological Bible Reading!

Today is Day 1 of my new Bible Reading Venture: Reading through Chronologically! :) I'm excited!!

Today's Reading is: Genesis 1-11, Job 1-5 It took me less than 1 hour.

The plan I am following is found here:
http://www.bibleplan.org/c/kjv/

It is a 1 year plan, which I am speeding up to make it a 3 month plan. :) So I read 4 days worth each day. I am making a chart so it is easier for me to track (plus have on 1 page instead of 8), but, I haven't completed it just yet. :)

So, Job took place right after the Tower of Babel. That is interesting. As I look ahead to some of the order of reading, I see that my last time reading through and seeing how the prophets tied together are totally in agreement with my "conclusions"! Cool!! This is exciting to me!
